Happy Sunday everyone!
I want to thank Tammy @ a word about books for nominating me for The Goodreads Tag, It’s going to be so much fun!
What was the last book you marked as ‘read’?
Amy and Rodger’s Epic Detour, as I realised that I hadn’t added it when I read it ages ago.
What are you currently reading?
You Know Me Well.
Dracula.
Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief. — I’ve been reading it for ages, and I still haven’t finished it!
What was the last book you marked as ‘to read’?
Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth.
What book do you plan to read next?
A Court Of Thorns And Roses, I was persuaded to read this before any of the other books that I’ve ordered!
Do you use the star rating system?
Yes, though it’s not my preferred rating system as I rate all books differently and I hate to compare books, and it feels like I am when I use the Rating System for some reason?
Are you doing a 2016 reading challenge?
Not on good reads, as when I went on my Goodreads fort he first time this year it was September or August?. . .
Do you have a wishlist?
Absolutely. Who doesn’t?
What book do you plan to buy next?
I’ve just bought a load, but after that I plan to buy:
- A STUDY IN CHARLOTTE
- A COURT OF MIST AND FURY
- CROWN OF MIDNIGHT.
Do you have any favorite quotes, would you like to share a few?
“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.” — C. S Lewis.
“A room without books is like a body without a soul.” — Marcus Tillius Cicero.
Who are your favourite authors?
Francis Scott Fitzgerald, Morgan Matson, Sabaa Tahir, J. K Rowling.
Have you joined any groups?
Yes!
- Tea Time Readers.
- The one I made — name to be decided in the group!
How many shelves do you have on goodreads?
6 — I haven’t really been – actively – on Goodreads for very long!
I tag:
I hope you enjoyed this tag! I found it so fun, and I am also loving Goodreads at the moment!
GWR X
You need to get back into Goodreads! I love using their shelves to help me remember what I’m reading and what my friends are reading (or wanting to read). Add me on your friends list when you go back on there, lol!

I’m obsessed with Sherlock, so I have to read this! Are you going to read it?

Definitely. I loved the concept of it.

Have you read the original Sherlock stories?

Some, not all, and it was a while ago. I should probably give them another read!

My favourite is probably The Empty Hearse or The Blue Carbuncle.

Yeah, I’m not sure which to read first. . . ahah

I’d recommend one of the short ones to see whether you could read a full novel. Sometimes they can be a bit wearing.

Yeah, some of the literature, that I remember, is rather difficult?
LikeLiked by 1 person
A bit. I think it’s just because of when it’s set.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes, also I think that I found it difficult as I read some when I was younger. . .

I read them all after watching the BBC version.

I think the next books I will be buying would be the complete Sherlock Holmes and also A Study In Charlotte. I just finished Perry Jackson and the Lighting Thief. Is it possible that you can invite me for your goodreads group? I would love to participate 😁 ( or am I being too bold now 😶)

Yeah, sure! Sent you the invite 🙂
Did you enjoy percy jackson and the lightning thief? I’m near the end, but I haven’t picked it up in moths!

Thank you! I really enjoyed it. I love Percy as a character. I read it in a month. Is it your first time reading Percy Jackson?
LikeLiked by 1 person
It is, I’m just finding it difficult to read for long periods of time, it’t not really holding my interest at the moment

I totally agree with you on the rating system. I use it, but I personally prefer to just give my opinion on the book… I’m not sure why, but I find it really difficult to rate an entire book with just a number out of five. Anyway, great post! ^^

Thank you! I’m glad that you agree. For five stars, the book has to be amazing, and a lot of books are amazing, but then there’s always one book that blow everything else out of the water, and then it feels like I can’t give the other books five stars. . . if the makes sense?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I completely understand! Sometime about two years ago, I read the Mortal Instruments Series, and I absolutely loved it. It’s by far one of my favorite series, so I rated almost every book 5 stars.. Then I started to compare it to the books I had previously rated 5, and it ruined my ratings.. Ugh! >.<

That’s exactly what I’m talking about, that’s why I prefer to talk about the book!
