Nov. 29: What was your most embarrassing or scary trip to the doctor?

Hi,

So what was my most embarrassing / scary trip to the doctor Hospital?

Last year, I was really sick, I had chronic stomach pains day in day out, having at least 3 blood tests, and in the middle of the night I woke up, the pain unlike anything else I had felt, and my dad had to call the medics who drove me to the hospital in an ambulance at 2:00 in the morning. I spent 3 hours in A&E, the doctors trying to figure to what was wrong, then prescribed me medication, and I didn’t leave A&E until 6 in the morning.

I think I found this scary because I’d never been in that much pain, and I’d never been in A&E with something that serious there before.

Luckily, I no longer have the pains, and I haven’t in a while.

What was your most embarrassing or scary trip to the doctor?

  1. I was with a guy who I thought I could be intimate with, but his gf called me (yeah he had an f-ing GF!) and told me he had herpes! So I went down to Urgent Care and they told me they can’t test for that until a month after exposure, and by then I would know. I was so scared and pissed off. Turns out I’m ok, but it was embarrassing to talk to the doc and my mom about why I went into Urgent Care when I seemed all right.
Always be careful with your partners bc they can lie. 😡

  3. Okay I have an “embarrassing” story. Technically it’s not my story, it’s my partner’s, but I was the one who drove and sat with him in the hospital! We were visiting his family and his dad handed him a boiling hot mug of tea. There is some debate as to whose fault this was, but my partner ended up with boiling tea spilled all over his …. well, a very sensitive male part. The nurses constructed this hilarious diaper-like contraption to keep this weird cooling/anti-bacterial gel on him. Oh man, I was trying so hard not to laugh because he was given some serious pain killers and was high as a kite … god it was funny :’D

  4. Oh that sucks!! Well mine is a bit of a funny one…when I was about 6 or 7, me and my sisters were over at my mum’s friends place. My sisters were playing ring-around-a-rosie so, me being me, thought it was more fun to spin on my own. So I spun and spun and fell out a door (about 5 feet) and landed on my head. I had to get picked up by an ambulance….ended up getting 7 stitches in my head lol.

      1. It probably was scary but I honestly don’t remember much of it (which is probably a good thing). It’s probably one of the clumsiest things I have ever done lol.
