Hello December: TBR And Other Things!

Happy December!

It is 24 days until christmas, and I plan for December to be a merry month!

So what am I going to read?

  1. My True Love Gave To Me
  2. A Monster Calls
  3. Fantastic Beasts
  4. The Sun Is Also A Star
  5. Crooked Kingdom

Other Aspirations:

0b0a2bad3cc4a8ee0ef0c64734385752.jpg› Bake a lot,(maybe share some recipes?).

I love baking, and have for ages, but I really want to spend this time to improve, but also try new things and be a bit more adventurous!

› Post more evenly on Instagram.

I feel like I post really irregularly, and I’m going to try and participate in one of the post challenges because they seem really fun and also improve my posts a little!

› Make Candles! I’ve honestly wanted to do this for agessss!

I’ve bought all the things that you need, and it’s arrive via post and I am so so so excited for this!

› Stay healthy over Christmas, but still enjoy the festivities!

I don’t want to have that horrible “I ate so badly over Christmas and feel disgusting!” feeling. I obviously want to enjoy the food, but I don’t want to feel horrible afterwards.

› Re-organise my bookshelves.

I like the layout,a the moment, but there is something that I don’t love about them. I want to LOVE my bookshelves, and be satisfied with the organisation of them. I think it’ll take some organisation, but I’m really excited for it!

› Send out all my christmas cards!

Honestly, sending out Christmas cards is one of my favourite things to do. The good feeling you receive is wonderful, you spread the Christmas spirit, and it feels so Christmassy!

› Review all the books that I read!

I managed to do this in November, and I really want to keep up reviewing books across the months. I love reviewing and I want to set aside the time to write good reviews, not just little ones.

What are some of your aspirations for December?

  1. I’m no good at planning out my reading schedule other than LOTS, I just know my eye is going to be caught by something else the minute I commit to reading a certain book; but I know I’ll be doing a ton of baking this month. I recently baked pie from scratch for the first time and I’m sort of hooked on it now. 😀

  4. OMG YES I’ve always wanted to make my own candles too! And bath bombs, but sadly our new house don’t have any bathtubs (just showers, sigh).

My go-to for the holidays are sugar cookies and chocolate crinkles since I find them the easiest to make. I also want to master baking pies before the year ends. I’ve only tried once and it was an epic fail. What do you usually bake?

Thank you so much for sharing recipes, I’ll have to try them this Christmas! Usually I bake cookies, pies, crumbles, yule logs, french cake recipes, anything!

  5. I really, really want to read the Sun Is Also A Star – I think I’ll just subtlety hint it to everyone in my life in hopes that one of them will get it for me for Christmas *fingers crossed*

  6. Oo, such a lovely variety of books there!
And yes for Christmas baking! I love baking so much- but I really don’t get a chance to do it as often as I would like as only my mum and myself eat the sweet things in the house, and I can’t put on too much weight! I want to try and do some more festive baking this year though.
You’ll have to share some of your fave recipes!

    1. I’m glad to find another baker! I’ve the same issue here, I love baking, but my waistline? Not so much, lol!
I’ll definitely try and share a few!

        1. Probably the cookies that I made today, as they’re so easy to make, and turn out great overtime, no matter who bakes them! They’re Mixed Spice with extra Cinnamon cookies and they are so tasty!
