700 Followers.

A while ago I reached 700 followers and at the time I was like “WOW! That’s crazy.” but now as I think about it, I recognise that it hasn’t really effected me in a way where it makes me incredibly happy. Obviously, I’m pleased that so many people like my blog, and find it interesting enough to follow, but I really don’t mind about the follower count.

I feel like I should be caring, like I should feel over the moon and have smiles and smiles, but blogging is what I love to do, and I don’t think that my love for blogging should be limited to my follower count. It doesn’t reflect the effort that I put into blogging, and doesn’t determine how much I like talking to other bloggers.

And I’m sorry if this post makes me seem like I don’t appreciate people following my blog, I do.

I thank you all for 700 followers because it never crossed my mind that this would happen and it does shock me that so many people would want to follow my blog, however that doesn’t determine my love for blogging and how much I care about my friends online, nor does it reflect me as a person. I think that too many people care about follower count and whether their blog is “popular” and “well-known” and if it reflects them.

  7. Firstly – you are amazing and CONGRATS!!!! But second – I understand about the follower count; it doesn’t have to affect you. It’s just a number 🙂 And no matter what, your blog will be brilliant and so will you.

Congratulations!!🍾🎈🎊🎉 that’s an amazing following count and it is something that can feel really surreal and sometimes it hits you at the oddest moments and at others it’s like you don’t feel it much at all, but in the end what’s most important is your personal enjoyment and it is because of that passion that people love your blog!   14. I don’t really even celebrate follower counts anymore on my blog but I am always happy that people have great numbers! It means they are doing something right! I know exactly what you mean!

  16. CONGRATS LU!!! And I think that it’s wonderful that you acknowledge that followers aren’t an indication of how brilliant you are because if that was the case, so many bloggers will have millions of them because they’d deserve it! (including you :))
