Book Buying Habits Tag.

Hello everyone!!! I’m back today with the Book Buying Habits Tag, this looks super fun and I’ve seen it around for quite a while and thought I’d give it a go. . .

Where do you buy your books from?

I try to buy from Waterstones as much as I can, as well as from Amazon. I’m trying to buy less form Amazon because I knew that it docent have a greatttttt relationship with authors. I’m trying to also buy more from Book Depository.

Do you ever pre-order books and if so, do you do this in-store or online?

I preordered ACOWAR but still didn’t get it for about a week after it was published. I preordered it in store, which was like,,, the best experience!

On average, how many books do you buy a month?

I normally buy like 2-3 month but then sometimes I’ll buy something like 5-6 which will last me a few months!

Do you use your local library?

No!!! I love to collect books, though I’ve used it before a few times.

If so, how many do you borrow at a time?

When I used it before I think I only got two or three out at a time because I can only take them out for two weeks so I didn’t want them to be over-due and they were super short.

What’s your opinion on library books?

I think that they’re super great and I will go there sometimes. However, most of the time the library doesn’t have the books that I want to read :/

How do you feel about charity shop/second hand books?

I really like charity shops because it gives to charity which is a super great thing and second hand books for classics because I think that it makes them look so aesthetically pleasing. Also,,, I got my Harry Potter books in hardback from the charity shop because I couldn’t find them anywhere.

Do you keep your read and TBR pile together/on the same bookshelf or not?

ermmmm not really? I sort of put them where they fit in / look pretty. Sometimes I keep them all together in a stack, sometimes I don’t, it just depends!

Do you plan to read all the books you own?

Yes! I have a few and I’m planning to read them super soon!

What do you do with books that you own and that you’ll feel you’ll never read/enjoy?

erM I don’t know to be honest, I like to give every book a chance, and to be honest, I tend to enjoy most of the books that I read. If I ever don’t like a book, I’ll either give it to a friend, second hand book store, or charity shop.

Have you ever donated books?

Yes! I donated all the books that I read when I was younger to charity.

Do you feel like you buy too many books?

ERM YES. ALL THE TIME AND I FEEL SO BADDDDDDDD.

  1. Lovely post! OMG I wish I could just buy 2-3 books a month as opposed to the mass of like 12 I tend to buy every weekend you can only imagine how many books fill my flat at this moment haha.
Likewise, I’m not much of a library user, if anything I just go their for the comfy chairs. I love collecting books and adding pretty new covers to my collection so book buying is something I definitely need more self control in.
Great tag Lu, I look forward to more posts from you in the future… Happy Reading! 😀

    1. Thank you so much! OMG, recently (probably because it’s summer), Im buying wayyyy more books and my selves are getting so crammed!

Same here with the library really, I go sometimes and I never end up finding the books that I want to read, or they’re always on loan because they’re really popular!

      Thanks for stopping by 😀
