THE POOR BOOKS I OWN AND HAVE NOT READ.

Hellooooo.

So I always go on about how I just want to buy more more more books, and I don’t think that I quite realise how many books I truly have just sitting on my shelf begging to be read.

I think that perhaps all the books here have been given as gifts to me last Christmas, or from charity shops. Actually yes, all but three. Now, I know what you’re thinking: “how could this beast of a human not read books that she was given??” ikikikkik I FEEL THE SAME WAYYYYYY.

This is basically me making excuses.

I cannot believe that I’ve somehow just avoided these books entirely. Anyways. Lemme stop jabbering.

1. A CHRISTMAS CAROL AND OTHER CHRISTMAS STORIES.

Lol so this one intimidates me so much I cannot even sayyyyyy. its this HUGE hardback with gold pages and generally looks AMAZING because its shiny and I just want to read it all riight now but alas,,,, OTHER BOOKS TOO*

And, if we’re being technical—because, as you all know, I’m the most technical person everrrrr—this is more than one book. It’s TECHNICALLY many books within a book and totals up over 700 pages** #HALP.

*this is the excuse that I use for not reading every book on this list. Damn, it’s gonna be a long post for y’all.

**ok,,, ik 700 pages is not even that long, this book just looks hella intimidating because it’s so freaking heavy.

2. TENDER IS THE NIGHT.

This edition is the genuine DEFINITION of beauty. As is the content I’m sure. I freaking love love love Fitzgerald. Quite frankly I just don’t know why I haven’t read this book yet???

3. THE LAST TYCOON.

Yet another Fitzgerald book that is #ScreamingToBeRead and I’ve cruelly neglected on my shelf.

I feel bad. . .

. . . moving on then. . .

4. FLAPPERS AND PHILOSOPHERS.

This is a collection of short stories and I’VE ACTUALLY STARTED READING THEM!

(yayyyyy im not a complete monsterrrrr!)

And I’m planning to read this slowly. SHUUUSHHH I HAVE A REASON.

When collections of stories come out, I hate to read them all at once, I love to read them every now and then and fully absorb them all.

5. OUTLANDER.

Gosh I love this TV series #HenceWhyIBoughtTheBook and I didn’t know that it was a book series until half way through (or more) of season one.

So…. I’m actually reading this next week hopefully when I finish my current read.

6. DRAGONFLY IN AMBER.

Well. I haven’t read the first book (OUTLANDER) yet, so I better read that first.

7. A DARKER SHADE OF MAGIC.

OOKKKKK.

Breathe, Lu. Breathe.

So I was reading this, finding it a tadddddd slow, and I just had to put it down.

Howeverrrrrrrrr I’ve been really wanting to read this book lately????? no idea why.

I will. I promise.

8. A GATHERING OF SHADOWS.

Yeahhhhhh so this is the sequel to ADSOM and I need to actually read that book first. I was given both as a gift last Christmas, so I really want to love them.

9. THIS SAVAGE SONG.

Oh my word this book sounds amazing. I’ve been putting it off and putting it off and putting it off some more and I want to be properly READY for this book, you know?

I want to want to read this book so badly.

10. TALES FROM THE SHADOWHUNTER ACADEMY.

I’VE STARTED THIS ONE!

I was reading this and then all of a sudden, I just got bored.

this is me ^ failing at reading all books ever, but especially tales from the shadow hunter academy.

I want to finish it, but it’s a collection of stories and I want to read it S L O W L Y.

11. HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX. & 12. HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE. & 14. HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS.

Imma talk about all of these at once because why the hell not?

I absolutely SUCK for not reading these books, I know. kmn. literally.

I am so determined to read these books. . . eventually.

23, 24, 25, 26. PERCY JACKSON BOOKS 2-5.

So I know, everyone else read these freaking decades ago when they were still foeti and I’m just here like,,, the odd one out BECAUSE I HVAEN’T READ THEM YETTTTT.

The first book. . . w a s  s o  p a i n f u l  because it’s pretty middle grade and SJLFNKJNAGKDJSBGKTHBJ I’ve evolved from that stage. Or I like to think I have.

I know that the middle grade will start to vanish as PJ gets older, but RIGHT NOW its just AWFUL to read withhhhhh.
