AUGUST WRAP-UP + URG, SEPTEMBER. BOOKS I NEED TO READ OTHERWISE WORLDS WILL EXPLODE AND CAKES WILL BURN.

URGH. HI.

In under a week I go back to school. And as you read this I am now in WALES. We’ve only gone for two nights, but it was really nice! And I’ve just been canoeing for the first time. . .  This WHOLE summer holiday has gone FAR too quickly.

I wish that I could just carry on eating cake all day, but the universe has other plans where I become the dark leader of the galaxies and run over all my subjects. jk I already do that. It’s actually been a great month.

I went to London, I went to Cornwall for 2 weeks I ate a lot of scrumptious scones, not as brilliant as cake but pretty yummy, met up with friends they didn’t buy me cake, how dare they! Rude I tell you, and generally had a good time while eating lots of cake. It’s been a really relaxing holiday. And of course, I got a good amount of reading done!

Favourites this month:

• AWKWARD TV SHOW

This honestly lifts my spirits every time that I watch it. It’s actually really relatable and SO FUNNY.

I’m normally not a fan for contemporary TV shows and prefer fantasy things, like Vampires and Zombies and cake.

But honestly,, I AM SO GLAD I’VE STARTED WATCHING IT. I could watch it for hours on end. IT’S GREAT BUT NOT AS GREAT AS CAKE.

• IMAGINE DRAGONS ALBUM – EVOLVE.

It is SO GOOD. This is by far their best album yet and it’s got some of my favourite songs already on there and I think I must have listened to it 20 times in in the past few weeks.

• WATERLOGGED

IT’S SUCH A GREAT APP. It’s really good for tracking water intake, which makes sure that I drink enough because IM A TERRIBLE CAMEL-HUMAN WHO NEVER DRINKS. I got it to see if water intake would help make my skin better AND IT’T WORKING. My skin is getting so much better! what we all really need is a cake tracking app, it wold be wonderful . . .

This book blew me away, more even than dream thieves! IT WAS THAT GOOD. I totally fell in love with Verity and AUGUST. . . MY SMOL AUGUST.

I just want to hug him and give him cake.

I read it so damn fast.

I just got so consumed. V.E Schwab KNOWS how to makes people want the next book I tell thee.

TBR for next month:

1. A gathering of shadows.

I NEED TO READ THIS.

LITERALLY, I OWN IT. IT’R RIGHT THERE. I SEE IT NOW.

2. A Christmas carol

This one is for school :(. I was meant to read it this month but… I haven’t finished it.

I KNOW. HOW ON EARTH WAS I TO READ THIS IN SUMMER?

3. Our dark duet. 

If I don’t read this WORLDS WILL EXPLODE AND ALL MY CAKEION CHILDREN WILL BURN. I WILL HAVE THIS BOOK SOON THE EXCITE IS REAL AND IM GOING MAD FINALLY HAVE IT.

4. Gemina! 

It feels like forever since I read Illumiae, which totally stole my heart and took my breath away. Im so hyped for this next instllemnt and then obsidio!

Because I’m going back to school I can’t read too much if I want to be able to keep up with the work, I I don’t think that I’ll get a tonne of reading done, I’m afraid. URGH I know as EMPRESS OF ALL THE GALAXIES, I SHOULD BE ABLE TO JUST GET RID OF SCHOOLS ALL TOGETHER.

I’ve also been contacted about reading an ARC called ‘The Devil’s Advocate’ AND GHSDJHFJSDGS IT JUST GOT SENT TO ME #EXCITE! It seems really interesting from what the author sent me, but I don’t really know how all the ARC stuff really works
