BLUE BOOK HAUL & HABITUAL BOOK BABBLES.

ARE BOOKS TRYING TO GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK WITH THEIR GORGEOUSNESS?
YES.
While returning from WALES we went to this really nice town called ‘Hay-on-Wye’ which is also called the ‘city of books’. THERE WERE 30 BOOK SHOPS, which were either secondhand, new, or both. THIRTY BOOK SHOPS

WHY CAN’T I LIVE THERE. OR JUST. . . IN THE BOOKSHOP.

IT WAS HEAVEN. I know, how am I in heaven if I’m immortal??? Yeah, I don’t know either. It’s a mystery I know.

I MEAN WHOA I CAN’T GET OVER THAT TOWN.

SOOOO MANY BOOK STORES. I WANT THEM ALL (#Realistic. #Goal.)

Now my town just looks BARE with 1 hardly stocked book shop (it was already seeming more deserted than a desert).

ALSO: SUPER AWKWARD moment when another customer mistakes you for a staff member because you’re walking around the shop with 3 new children books in your arms. They said that I looked “important” while walking around??? NO THAT’S JUST ME ON THE HUNT FOR MORE BOOKS, SORRY SIR! CHEERIO!! Bless those humans.

I just seem too comfortable gliding around a book store possessively. THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS BEING “TOO COMFORTABLE” WHEN IT COMES TO BOOKS WHAT AM I SAYING.

OKAYYYY SO. In quite a few of the shops there were only really informations and classics, which I wasn’t too keen on buying that day, so after a few shops, we came across this bookshop called ‘Richard Booth’s Bookshop, Cafe and Cinema’ yes, I know a bit of a mouthful which was filled with SO MANY HISTORY BOOKS and it looked like one of those traditional libraries and whoaaw was just so dark and mysterious you could literally smell the pages by just walking around. #MyVersionOfDrugs.

ANYWAY. IN A LITTLE NOOK I FOUND THE YA SECTION.

“YASSSSSS” I hear you all scream. I know, my hearing is superbbbbb. 

IT WAS SMALL = WORLD STARTS TO WEEP CRY GO INTO MELT DOWN DIE.

So here is what I found:

I KNOW. FINALLY. Lord of Shadows and Strange the Dreamer!!

AND STRANGE THE DREAMER IS THE HARDBACK #HAPPYCAKEQUEEN. 

I’ve been wanting to read these books since. . . well. . . SINCE I KNEW ABOUT THEM  SINCE I WAS BORN. Okay— I was doing work experience in my local library when they received a copy of ‘Strange the Dreamer’ and you do not know how tough it was not to grab it and run away and live happily ever after until I needed another book. 

So then I meandered around the town like a lost lamb some more and then went to a MAHOUSSIVE book store that had 200,000 BOOKS!!! 

Down side. . . there was no ya section. #FAIL.

BUT A GIRL AND I STARTED DISCUSSING THE LACK OF YA SECTIONS how dare that shop not have YA! IT SHOULD BE ASHAMED. AND SHE WAS FROM AUSTRALIA AND WE HAD A GREAT TALK ABOUT BOOKS. It was wonderful. (secretly wished that she was a book blogger (especially one that I know) the entire time)

BUTTTTT I actually found Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard real chap and decided to finally carry on with the series. OMG. I JUST REALISED. ITS BEEN A WHOLE YEAR+ SINCE I READ RED QUEEN. why are you following me I am an awful bookworm. I don’t deserve your love. joking, I’m empress of the galaxies and cake queen.  *eats cake for comfort bc,,,,, how dare I* *sobs and eats* okay I’m going to give this book a chance. #I #Will #Most #Likely #Regret #This.

SO SHORTLY AFTER THAT—shortly realises was in caps???—I stole all the books and ran away resumed my awfully long and boring journey back.

OH NO THE FUN DOESN’T STOP THERE.

SURPRISE!!!! MORE BOOKS. What. a. SHOCKER!!!!!!! 

Someone did an online order before they went away to wales. Someone was bursting with excitement to read them. Someone definitely doesn’t want to just read them all now. Someone IS GOING UTTERLY MADDDDDDDDD. WHOOP WHOOP. 

OHH and yes, that “someone” is me!! Well guessed everyone!! >Golly, this post is just FULL of surprises. It’s more dramatic than a soap opera. why am I being more loony than usual. Har har I’m hilarious.

ANYWAY. THE BOOKS I BOUGHT: 

Gemina and . . . surprise, surprise, Our Dark Duet . . . I mean. . . after my ‘this savage song’ review IS ANYONE SHOCKED BY THIS? “noooooo,” the entire world galaxy replies.

ALSO HAVE YOU NOTICED THE COINCIDENCE BEING THAT ALL THE BOOKS ARE BLUE?? Clearly this was meant to be. . . I MEAN,,, WUT IS THIS. Why are all the books so beautiful and blue?

Clearly every inch of my being is SCREAMING at me to just read all of these in one night but #RestraintMustBeUpheld then I would have no more books.

GAH why do I love books so much* OH YES BECAUSE THEY ARE GORGEOUS AND HAVE AMAZING CHARACTERS THAT GIVE ME TOO-HIGH EXPECTATIONS OF HUMANS.
