INTERVIEW WITH RHEA @ BOOKCHANTED.

Okay so like I almost forgot about doing this, and then Rhea was offering herself as my next victim and YAS because she’s amazing and I love her.

This is my third interview now, my pervious interviews were with Ruby Rae and Ilsa. You can view their interviews here and here. I mean if you want, you don’t have to (Jesus I hate self promo, save me)

BUT LETS FOCUS ON RHEA.

 1. Can you please introduce yourself / your blog?

Hiiiiiiiiiii! I’m Rhea, and I blog by the name Bookchanted. (I really like the name of my blog btw?! It’s such a pretty name, and I’m usually not a creative person but like Bookchanted is a creative name so I’m really proud y’know?) I live in Singapore, but I am from India. (and am a crazy Bollywood freak, I’d like to mention) I lovelovelove reading and blogging. I like to think of myself as a book warrior/protector, cuz I’m protective AF of the condition of my books. Besides sitting in my room and reading all day, I love dancing, listening to music, watching Friends, watching and fangirling over the Dolan Twins (THEY’RE MY CUPCAKES FOREVER), and I LOVEEEE PIZZA. PIZZA IS BAE, I EAT WAYY TOO MUCH PIZZA AHHHH.

2. What’s your blogging journey been like so far? pls inform this pesky, nosy, creature that is moi.

My blogging journey has been pretty amazing! I started blogging in early June, so I’m currently in my sixth month of blogging, and it’s become one of my favourite things to do! I started blogging mainly cuz I had a really long summer break and needed something to do, so when my mom gave me the idea of book blogging, I was all for it! In these six months, I’ve read SO many books, written lots of reviews, and talked to/fangirled with the most amazingggg people in the blogosphere! (Like Luuu I love her ❤ )

 3. What’s been one of your most surprising reads (in anyway) recently?

Ahhh so in a bad way…I kinda DNF’d and really didn’t like Illuminae? (ducks from people throwing stuff at me) I’ll talk about that later. But in a good way, Six of Crows totally blew me away!! I’d seen the hype surrounding it and had been SO scared of reading it, but it’s become one of my favourite books this year!! I NEED A KAZ BREKKER IN MY LIFE PLS THANKS.

 4. Do you prefer GR or WordPress for reviews?

For writing reviews, I definitely prefer WordPress, I find it a lot more fun to write on. I mostly prefer WordPress for reading reviews too, but I do love reading non-spoilery reviews on Goodreads when I’m deciding whether to buy a book or not!

5. What are some of your childhood favourite books?

I used to LOVE reading Enid Blyton books. Enid Blyton basically made my childhood. Stuff like Malory Towers, Secret Seven, the Find- Outers- ah the good ol’ days.  Till I was 12, I ONLY read Enid Blyton books. Infact, I own most of her books (I have 200 of them.) but I had to leave them all in India cuz my dad refused to bring them all to Singapore. 

Lu: okay so like EVERYONE MENTIONS THESE BOOKS AND IVE NEVER READ THEM MY WHOLE CHILDHOOD WAS DEPRIVED. 

6. Favourite series? (I’m not mean enough for favourite book!) (pretty SURE I KNOW THE ANSWER. . . ) 

Yes Lu I’m pretty sure you’ve guessed the right answer- probably cuz I’ve mentioned that series in EVERY SINGLE blog post of mine. I JUST LOVE THE INFERNAL DEVICES TOO MUCH OKAY? I JUST- THEY’RE JUST- * starts sobbing hysterically cuz of how utterly beautiful and heart wrenching they are * Cassandra Clare is my QUEEN. I love all of the Shadowhunter Chronicles, but The Infernal Devices holds a special place in my heart. (it’s cuz Will Herondale is my husband)

 I WAS RIGHTTTT!!! AND OI WILL IS MINE.

7. What kind of attitude do you try and bring to your blog? (Calm/chill. . . the intense bookworm, or the one that’s read literally every book ever, etc)

I “try” to be all cool and chill and calm, but anyone who has read even one of my posts knows I fail at that. I’m just the most intense and crazy fangirl ever. I talk in caps in my reviews ALL THE TIME (actually when I’m talking about a book, I talk in caps irl too). So I don’t really know what that makes my blog? Intensely chill? Fangirlishly calm? Idk mate.

8. If you planned to take over the world, which mythical creature would be at your disposal?

Planned to take over the world? I’m already ruling the world MWAHAHAHA. But if I wanted to take over the entire GALAXY…hmmm. I have a special love for unicorns and dragons. I’d probably want a unicorn when I decide to be merciful and nice to people, and a dragon when I want to scorch the living daylights out of them. * smiles an evil, maniac smile *

9.  Do you prefer discussions or reviews? (either reading or writing) / do you write discussions??

I don’t really write discussion posts. Though I loveee reading them, I can’t ever seem to come up with a discussion topic. But yes, I love READING and taking part in them even though I don’t write any. I definitely like writing reviews more cuz I get to rant/fangirl and pretend that no other perspective in the world exists, but I think I like reading discussion posts more, because every once in a while, I see sense and decide to actually look at other opinions and perspectives.

 10. 3 books that you would sacrifice happily to save the galaxies?

This is what everyone is going to kill me for- I would totally not mind sacrificing Illuminae. * runs in the other direction * I’M SORRY OKAY BUT THAT BOOK WAS NOT FOR ME. The worst thing for me was that it was in the form of files, and not, you know, a BOOK, so it really annoyed me when I was reading it cuz it just didn’t feel like I’m reading a BOOK. Plus, I barely understood half the things that were happening, I’m just too stupid for it. I would also happily sacrifice BZRK by Michael Grant. I HATED IT, IT SUCKED, IT WAS TERRIBLE, SOMEONE PLS BURN IT. I’d also sacrifice Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick, IT WAS SO STUPID WITH THE SAME OLD TROPES AND SAME DUMB CHARACTERS GAH. Yep I’m all positivity guys.
