December WrapUp & Mini Year Review.

 GUYS, IT’S NEW YEARS EVE (LIKE YOU DIDN’T KNOW THAT ALREADY). 

I can’t wait to start 2018, and I hope that you all have a great start to the new year, and reflect on the good moments of this past year.

I think that although there have been parts of this year that were rather shocking and well. . . pretty bad, there have also been some great moments. For example, Tuesdays!! Know why??? BOOKS ARE PUBLISHED ON TUESDAYS. Hence, they are spectacular.

december:

1. The Devil’s Lullaby: such a good sequel!! The ending. I need to know what happens.

2. The Lyons Orphanage: Can’t wait to read it!! I was sent this by the author and it sounds so intriguing.

3. Alex Approximately: NRGJNRDJ CUTE. I read it so fast (under a day) and it got me out of my slump!! I was given this for Christmas, and it’s such a cute hidden gem.

4. Turtles all the way down: FABULOUS. I LOVE IT!! NAD IT WAS ON SALE!! I HAD TO!!

5. The mortal instruments Graphic Novel: SO PRETTY I LOVE. SO MUCH HEART EYES.

6. THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS 10TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION: Sorry, my eyes just fell out this is so pretty.

7. The Book of Dust: MY SISTER GOT ME THIS AND IT’S SO PRETTY. I can’t wait to read it!!

• The Devil’s Lullaby –> !!!!!!!! so much happened. This was an arc sent to me by the author (thank you again!!)  and it is nowavailable to purchse so go check it out!!

• The Raven King –> TOOK ME AGES TO READ BUT FDJNGDJBGJ. I LOVE.

• Turtles All The Way Down –>!!!!!!! DFGBRDIFGBRE3ORKEW;F this is my new favourite John Green Book. THANK YOU, JOHN GREEN. I loved this so much, I read it under a day.

• Alex, approximately –> so cute, haven’t written a review for this one yet, I will in the new year though! But ahgahg it was cute and fluffy but I did have some quibbles with it that I won’t talk about here because then I’d be talking about this book for ages.

• The Mortal Instruments Graphic Novel. –> loved this, but it wasn’t finished!! It ended before the book ends and I just,,, felt a bit like, “that’s it??” I NEED THE NEXT ONE.

• so.
• Christmas. . . NOT A HUGE THING I KNOW. A lot of people don’t celebrate it, but I do, and I loved getting everyone gifts.
• THE HOLIDAY IN GENERAL. I really hope that everyone had a great holiday, no matter how you celebrate it.
• I sat my exams, AND I AM STILL ALIVE. I want to cry. It was so painful. I don’t think I’ve ever been more exhausted. Honestly. I WAS LAUGHING WITH TIREDNESS. (genuinely seemed mad*)
• I finished The Raven Cycle. AND YES THIS IS IMPORTANT. I AM JUST. I feel empty now that there is not another one. someone save me.
• I’ve slept a lot.
• the other day I got 15 hours sleep to catch up.
• I started my wip. . . and now I’ve run away.
• I’ve also written and shared loads of poetry this month.
• I’ve also eaten a lot. because. why not. 
• I completed/exceeded my Goodreads challenge!! I’ve now read 45/40 books! WHOOP. go me.
• I now have an overflowing Cassie Clare shelf. NO, WHAT ARE YOU SAYING I DO NOT HAVE 4 EDITIONS OF CITY OF BONES. . . NO.

year review: 

I have done previous posts on this topic, for example, Goodbye 2017: marvellous moments of 2017 + salt & cheese rains on you and also Goodbye 2017: My top reads of 2017 ft. dislikes, reading habits & events + general panic, but I thought that I would mention it here to sort of do a final year wrap up as this will be my final post of this year. Now wouldn’t you be said if I had said “final post ever“? YES, is the answer. The world would weep. Ocean tears would defy gravity and fall from the earth into the galaxy, my blog is just that important, ok?*

Books:

There are a tonne of books that are being released next month/next year, or just books that I’m really hyped to finally get around to, so here are a “few”

blogging:

Obviously, I have some blogging goals for next year too, since I’m that motivated. I’d like to say that yeah by this time next year I want to have posted 2-3 times a week every week, and that I can improve my interaction (i.e. RESPOND TO COMMENTS). But they aren’t that realistic.

Next year I want to improve my content. And maybe that means posting less, or more, I don’t know yet. This year, I think was all about me finding my footing when it came to blogging. So that I can go on to improve. 

Next year I want to be more interactive. I want to be better with comments. I think that at the end of this year, my commenting really started to lag, and I want to be commenting more on others’ posts.
