But something is happening between them, and everyone can see it. Their creative writing teacher pushed them together. The baristas at the local Starbucks watch their relationship like a TV series. The bus driver tells his wife about them. The waitress at the diner automatically seats themtogether. Even the squirrel who lives in the college green believes Lea and Gabe were meant to be together. 

The blurb made me rooting for Gabe and Lea straight away, though the cover also intrigued me. Admit it… It’s happened to us all. I’ve read this book over and over since purchasing a copy and it gets me every time. Each time it’s like I’m reading it for the first time and I cannot put it down. 

What I love about this book: 

• The Different Views. I loved the fact that the book never had Lea and Gabes inner thoughts in the book. Though some people may not like it, I found it nice as it meant that it was more realistic. Also, most of the views were hilarious, and made the book very lighthearted. Not only that, but it meant that the overall pace of the book was quicker than most books as you would get to overhear conversations between Gabe and Lea, or jump from the beginning of the week to them end. Furthermore, this made the book even more gripping as you were constantly reading something interesting, not just filler text that doesn’t bring much to the story. 
• The next thing that I loved about this book was the characters. All the characters were unique, and there was a huge contrast in personalities. And then… There’s the squirrel and the bench. I found the very first entry of the squirrel hilarious, and found the bench’s entries were just even more so. I found that there was such wonderful character development, as you never learnt too much or too little, the main focus was on the personalities rather than appearances, I personally think, and I found that a pleasant factor to the book. 
• What I also love about this book is that it’s such a sweet book. I know it’s vague and not that of a huge thing, but I can’t stress enough how sweet this book is! Also, it definitely is a swoon novel! 

The book is overall a brilliant read and (like the statistical probability of love at first sight) perfect to read on a rainy day surrounded by throw blankets and pillows; accompanied by hot chocolate! 

One thing that I would have liked is to have Gabe and Lea’s view chapter at the end. I think that having those chapters would have added way more cuteness and finished the book off so well. However, I still love the ending and book as a whole. I would absolutely recommend this book 🙂
