Nov. 14: What was it like to be you in 2016?

Good evening everyone!

What was it like to be me in 2016?

Confusing, eventful, memorable.

This year has had it’s ups and downs. A lot of ups and downs. Let’s focus on the ups.

This year I had the chance to go to France, which was great, as I finally got to see my cousins and Aunt and Uncle that I haven’t seen for seven or so years. I  think that was the best part of this year. We all got tanned, hung out at the beach, had numerous barbecues and days out to the local towns, went to the local night-themepark, and made the most of our time together.

This year also contained A LOT of reading, much more than last year, which I’m super happy about. I’ve finally been reading books that I’ve wanted to for ages, which has been a wonderful reading experience.

I’ve finished my reading target for this year, which was only 30 books, but the accomplishment makes me really happy. It makes me look forward to next year and all the books that are going to be released and read!

This year I’ve also started my GCSE’s, which aren’t as stressful as I thought, yet still pretty stressful in comparison to Year 9. The work load is  difficult adjustment, but I feel like I’m slowly getting there, and trying to stay optimistic about it all!

I’ve obviously had not so good parts in 2016 – I’m sure we all have – but I won’t going that as I really want to keep this post positive : )

What was it like to be you in 2016?

  1. That’s awesome you got to go to France, it sounds like you had a lovely time 🙂 30 books is an awesome achievement, especially when you have other commitments as well. 2016 has been a bit of a weird one for me…I haven’t been able to buy as many books as I would like because I have been saving to travel, so I guess I can’t be too sad. But I want a library like Belle, so that will be my aim for 2017 🙂

      1. I’m going to America for a white Christmas, I’ve never ever had one before! It’s always around 40 degrees (celcius) so it will be a nice change!!!

  2. Many highs and many lows, but they have all made me stronger and I am moving forward. There have been a lot of changes in my life. Change can be hard, but necessary. I am excited to see what 2017 holds. Positive is the best 🙂

It sounds like you had a great year. France, wow! Here is to the new year approaching soon 🙂

  3. This year has been awesome for me. I’ve started three blogs – one’s for religious stories, one is for everything and anything stories, and one is focused on one particular story about a vampire named Ambrose.

I had no idea that blogging could be so much fun. 😀

  4. I had a lot of ups and downs in 2016 as well. But I did start reading again, which I absolutely don’t regret and I did go to London. I like to focus on the positive things as well, but sometimes the downs hit you very hard, I have experience that too in 2016.
